LOVE COMMANDOS CONDEMNS HOODA – DEMANDS HIS SOCIO POLITICAL BOYCOTT
The Love Commandos condemns Haryana Chief Minister Mr. Bhupender Singh Hooda for defending Khap Panchayats. Strongly defending Khap Panchayats (caste councils), Haryana chief minister Bhupinder Singh Hooda had on Saturday said that they didn’t order “honour killings and that most of such cases involved relatives of boys or girls” and demanded a socio-political boycott of Mr. Hooda and all his associates advocating for killers of lovers. LC challenges Mr. Hooda to come on any media channel for a debate, so that truth could be brought out from his mouth.
Though the world knows that Khap Panchayatis are killers of innocent and harmless lovers but Hooda had conspired with ulterior motives to shield them by saying “Those behind such killings are parents or close relatives of either the girl or the boy.”
The recent two incidents had been from Rohtak, one where a college going couple were killed by girl’s family members. Their families were opposed to the relation between them, and Khap Panchayati leaders had justified the killings. In the second incident just three days ago leaders of Khap Panchayat had met Senior Police Officials of Rohtak demanding handing over of an inter caste lovers from nearing villages and saying that Khap disowns such marriages. Mr. Hooda has spoken a blatant lie and thus has no moral right to remain in public life. His utterances are an insult to the Indian Constitution and the Hon’ble Supreme Court of India and hence such people should not be allowed at the helm of affairs of the state.
Hooda has attempted to disintegrate the country by saying that there are different customs in South and other parts of India .When he was asked about the opposition of Khaps to the same ‘Gotra’ marriages, Hooda had said there are “some customs prevalent in the society” and challenged the journalist community by saying “Tell me one thing, how many of you marry within the Gotra. I am asking do you marry within your Gotra?”
Mr. Hooda has spoken against the law of the land as the Law nowhere prohibits marriages in the same Gotra. Further the Hon’ble Supreme Court had in Criminal appeal No 958/2011 stated the need for the state to project and protect Inter caste and Inter religious love couples, but Mr. Hooda has insulted the spirit of standing directions by making such statements.
The fact is that despite instructions of the Apex court, such Kangaroo courts like Panchayats are taking place and the state governments have miserably failed in arresting all those attending such Panchayats. Now it is more shameful that a Chief Minister is singing the song of Khap Panchayats and his such act would further distance the youth of the country from participating in voting.
More alarming is that leaders of all political parties have maintained a criminal silence on his such ugly and anti national statement. It appears that No political party in the country is worried or concerned about the youth of the nation as the issue of “Protection of Lover’s Rights” is not there in the agenda or manifesto of anyone.
#LoveCommandos appeals to the youth of the country to rise and raise voice against suppression, oppression and victimization of lovers at the hands of such politicians and bureaucrats working in association with such criminals of love and lovers.
